:( Dropped Craig off at the airport so he can catch a 6am flight back to Arlington. As much as he didn't want to leave he new he had to for a couple days to do some business. I guess the bright side is that I get to kangaroo care Wyatt for four days straight!
I arrived at the hospital with both Wyatt's nurse and one of the doctors saying, "Oh your here, we were just going to call you......no worries it is not bad." Ok good. The doctor proceeds to go into the whole transfer conversation again and said that he is now in contact with Fairfax and Wyatt could transfer to VA by the weekend. Again I tell him what we have told the staff and him a half dozen times, "We are comfortable here.....and would at the moment want to see how things go and if by mid January he is ready to be discharged we would rather go directly to home instead of another NICU." I asked if there was any reason they were pushing the whole transfer thing and he claims no and that if we are comfortable then we can of course just stay.....but know that the option of transfer is possible. Plus we don't have all of our ducks in a row to pay for a transfer and to leave with such short notice. I am hoping I really was able to get our point across and end the transfer conversation until we are ready to have it.
Wyatt is cruising with his feedings.....now bumped up to 2mls. Kangarooed for 2 1/2hrs. Bath time was a total success.....Wyatt weighing in at 1,010 grams!
